Take this tour to discover Dubai, the city famous for its skyscrapers and high rise buildings. Start with the Dubai Creek which is an evidence of meaningful co existence. It divides greater Dubai into two areas, the Deira side, known for its souks and the Bur Dubai, a residential area with side markets and small shops. The creek is a perfect snapshot of the startling contrasts between old and new. Traditional coral and gypsum houses, wind towers and minarets mix up amidst the modern development and glassy high rises.
Travel back in time by visiting the 200 years old Dubai Museum where you can learn about the lives of the Emirates who lived in the past. Take a scenic boat ride in an ‘abra’ and see dhows, modern yachts, cabin cruisers and abras all coexist together on the same body of water. See how the creek buzzes with boats plying their cargo. For those who wish to learn about the traditional customs, traditions, professions and local craftsmanship, ‘Heritage Village’ will do it for you.
The shopaholics can treat themselves at the Dubai Gold Souk, let the dazzling color of gold treat your eyes as you see gold window after window, even more than that in Alladin’s cave. Buy a souvenir or just watch as the buyers haggle for a bargain with the sellers. The tour will then head towards the stunning Jumeirah Mosque. Built, in the medieval Fatimid tradition, it is the only one in Dubai that welcomes non Muslim guests six days a week. Stop for photos at the Burj Al Arab Hotel. There is no chance that you will not drop your jaw after looking and the massive hotel.
Head to Burj Khaifa, a building that holds World Record for being the tallest in the world. Get your entry at the Top 124th floor of this soaring building and experience a 360 degree panoramic view of Dubai with its skyline. Eat lunch around the Musical fountains at Burj Khalifa. After lunch, shop at the mega Dubai Mall hosting 1,200 stores and brands. The tour will then head to visit the “Palm Jumeirah”, the biggest man made island. Stop at the famous iconic hotel “Atlantis the Palm” for photos. Later, pass by the New Dubai Marina, an artificial canal city, built along a two mile stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline before driving towards the iconic Emirates Mall. The tour ends at the multi level “Emirates mall” and the “Ski Dubai”, a real snow wonderland located within the Middle East’s first indoor ski resort.
